Sixth Form
We have a thriving Sixth Form at Amersham School which is continuously growing. We realise that advanced level study requires different learning and teaching styles and this, combined with the fact that students already know and feel comfortable with their teachers, contributes to their success.
Our results are excellent and we are very proud of our extensive curriculum programme offering a wide variety of AS/A2 level subjects.
The many enrichment activities, including the Community Sports Leader Award, Young Enterprise, Duke of Edinburgh's Award, guest speakers, careers fairs, peer listening, prefect system, and running the School Council, to name but a few, help to develop students' sense of responsibility and prepare them for future challenges.
Our Sixth Form students are positive role models for the rest of the school. We are very proud that each year many students are successful in gaining admission to universities and colleges of higher education, as well as to professional and vocational establishments.
